Design and Symbolism
The flag is divided into three horizontal bands of equal size:
- Red (top): The red stripe represents the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of the nation’s people, particularly in their struggle for independence and self-determination. It also signifies the strength and determination required to defend the republic and uphold its sovereignty.
- White (middle): The white stripe symbolises peace, unity, and the purity of the nation’s ideals. It is a reminder of the commitment to harmony within the diverse fabric of the Saruit Republic. Two yellow stars are positioned equidistantly within the white band, signifying the core values of hope and progress. The stars also represent the aspirations of the citizens to achieve greatness while ensuring equality and fairness for all.
- Green (bottom): The green stripe signifies the natural wealth and agricultural abundance of the Saruit Republic, as well as its commitment to environmental sustainability and stewardship. The colour reflects the verdant landscapes and natural beauty of the country.
