The First Vinelandic Civil War was a military conflict between the government of Vineland and capitalist communist revolutionaries. The conflict officially lasted for 2 days before being peacefully ended on 12 March 2021.

Background

Capitalist Communist Party

The Capitalist Communist Party (CCP) was officially founded by Jackson T. and Jose R. on the day the civil war was proclaimed, 10 March 2021. The party was founded several hours before the war, being led by both Jackson and Jose up until the wars declaration. Upon which Jose left and condemned the CCP.

Declaration of Independence

Around 3 PM CST on 10 March, the Capitalist Communist Revolutionary Government of Vineland was proclaimed by Jackson T. He climbed a tree up to a fort and proclaimed the war to be on, with Overseer of Vineland Gage W. and Jose below to witness it.

After declaring independence, he left the scene of the declaration and retreated north.

Timeline

(Timeline and events are not exact, as memory is the only source to go off of)

3 PM, 10 March

After Jacksons retreat from government forces, he set up a small forest base at the very northern edge of Vineland. Outnumbered and underequipped, the only option he had was to hide from the Vinelandic army for as long as possible.

Soon moving south on a path by the creek to occupy more of northern Vineland, Jackson made contact with Gage and Jose. The two were now armed and demanding the revolutionary governments surrender. They surrounded him, coming close enough to make physical contact with him, but Jackson was able to escape. He was chased out of Vineland and forced into exile.

Chased out of Vineland and the street leading into its northeast entrance, the CCPA had to take the long way around to settle elsewhere.

4 PM, 10 March

Jackson soon set up a new field headquarters in Gages backyard, without his knowledge. Gage and Jose had since returned to Vineland City and were on the lookout for the revolutionary government. Jackson, waiting for a move from the Vinelandic army, started writing an official declaration of war to deliver to Gage personally. Before he was done, Jose approached his headquarters unarmed. He was reluctantly allowed in.

Jose claimed that he was already planning a revolt against Vineland, and that he wanted to join the war against Gage as a third party. When asked where Gage was, he said he didn't know and left to "look". Upon returning, Jose blew his own cover and ran with several weapons from the headquarters. He reported back to Gage with the information on the base and weapons taken from it. After which, Jackson gave the declaration of war to Gage and Jose. He used it as a distraction to take some of the captured weapons back.

5 PM, 10 March

After more chasing back and forth, and the capture of the CCPA field headquarters by Gage and Jose, Jackson found himself attempting an invasion of the southern edge of Vineland. Gage and Jose pursued him, cutting him off from the route he took in. He was stuck and losing ground fast. Jackson attempted to run up a steep hill at the very southeastern end of Vineland, into unexplored territory. He was unsuccessful and got caught by Gage. Him and Jose took Jackson back to Vineland City of interrogation.

Interrogation lasted for around 15–30 minutes, and Jackson refused to surrender or negotiate. He escaped Vineland City and went home sometime after 5:40 PM.

6 PM, 10 March to 6 PM, 12 March

For two days after the initial fighting, there was no combat in Vineland. The area was held by the government while the capitalist communists remained in exile. The war would come to an end on the 12th of March, when Jackson reached out to Gage and Jose with a compromise.

Peace Deal and Aftermath

The proposal involved giving a large part of southeastern Vineland, which was the backyard of an abandoned house, to the capitalist communists. It would remain part of Vineland, but become a semi-independent autonomous zone inside of it. The proposal was agreed upon, and the war was officially ended on 7:40 PM of 12 March.

The Vinelandic Capitalist Communist Autonomous Zone was established, and the CCRGV was dissolved. Jackson was returned to his former rank as third in command of Vineland. These conditions would last for under a month before the CCRGVs revival and start of another civil war in Vineland.
