First Party Congress of the Communist Party of Kirkland
The First Party Congress of the Communist Party of Kirkland was the inaugural congress of that Party. It was declared a soaring success by the Communist Party leadership. At the First Congress the Party established a constitution and selected a new Central Committee. Nathaniel Yates was the presiding officer of the Party Congress while Leon Ulyanov provided the keynote address.
In order to encourage the Party to further action following the Congress, the Party ledaership decided that a prominent Party member should give a speech that best summed up the Communist Party, its goals, and infuse the Party base with renewed spirit. In order to achieve these aims the Party commissioned the Party's newest members, Leon Ulyanov, to deliver this keynote address.
