Aftermath
After the tie in the election, on 26 February 2024 the Parliament of the Republic passed unanimously a constitution law which would split the presidential term in half. The order of the half-terms would be chosen by a lot. On 25 February the Parliament approved a law, which would settle the future ties in presidential elections by considering the number of provinces won by a candidate, and if they are tied by a parliamentary vote.
