Engelia was founded on a vacation in Washington DC at the Holiday Inn on June 15, 2017. It has territory in DC and Alabama. It is the first serious project of the founder and also the first project to be involved in MicroWiki.
Foreign Relations
Engelia has contact with the micronation of Schadenfreude and has friendly relations with the Fascist Empire of New Prussia.
History
The President has had about 10 micronations in the past, the first one starting in 2014. The previous project, Europa had failed because of inactivity and no online presence. Europa was dissolved on June 7, 2017. Engelia was founded on June 15, 2017. On July 16, the President resigned. He then formed a Communist party and took over the country and transforming it into the Socialist Union of Alabama
Government
The government of Engelia is a Republic, but there is a temporary dictatorship under the President.
Culture
The culture is Southern US culture because all permanent residents live in southern Alabama. Most residents are conservatives.
Religion
100% of Engelians are Evangelical Christians, but there is no state religion.
Economy
The economy of Engelia is mainly based on land work. Engelia uses the US Dollar.
