The Empire of Hakkō was a micronation situated within the city of Jyväskylä, which was completely surrounded by the Republic of Finland. In Jyväskylä, its army conducted guerilla warfare and terrorism against the Finnish populace, most famously seizing a local kindergarten several times as well as patrolling the general Halssila sub-area armed. At its peak it contained one county, the County of Central Finland. The Empire of Hakkō was de jure an absolute monarchy, with all power being vested in the Emperor Oili, who was believed to not only have divine right to rule but is also to be divine herself, with the once sole legal religion of Oilism regarding Oili as the creator of the Universe. After major Oilists converted to Orthodox Christianity or became agnostic, Oilism as a religion ceased to exist, and since then the nation has been in a dormant state.
Culture
The culture of the Empire of Hakkō was heavily dominated by Finnish culture, although the Count of Central Finland promoted Japanese culture and language, and the state religion of Oilism itself is heavily derived from Japanese Shintoism.
Religion
The primary and state-sanctioned religion of the Empire of Hakkō was Oilism. But as Oilism is now practically extinct, there is no longer any one official religion.
Government
De jure, all power has been temporarily transferred to the Count of Central Finland, in accordance with Emergency Edict on the Distribution of Powers Rested Solely Upon Her Majesty the Emperor Oili and the Unbending Right of Oili to Rule the Realm, which reads:
"Article I
All legislative, executive, and judicial powers within the Realm shall be transferred to Count Oinonen of Central Finland until further notice.
Article II
This Edict is effective immediately upon approval.
Approved 8 April 2022."
De facto as Oili herself is unable to comprehend politics, owing to her being a dog, the Count of Central Finland rules the country in a military junta, with the army also having a key role in what decisions get passed.
No further constitution has been promulgated. In celebration of the day that Oili came to Jyväskylä, temporary criminal laws were enacted by a four-man council which included the Count of Central Finland, codifying various acts of lèse-majesté against Oili as illegal, such as walking over her, and enacting punishments for violations.
