The 3rd Elysiumite senatorial election occurred on September 15, 2020.

This election saw the Democratic Traditionalist remain the largest party although it lost its overall majority resulting in Elysium’s second hung senate, and its last until October 2021. The government was badly impacted after Libertarian-Progressive Humphrey exposed failures of the government to abide by the constitution, nearly leading to the abdication of Emperor Robert Smith. Yet Chancellor Kyle Smith was swift to respond to it, alongside the Emperor, to reform the constitution making it easier to abide by. The Progressive party was rebranded into the Libertarian-Progressives, after former leader of the Libertarian party Tau Barclay merged the two parties. Adam Johnston and Tau Smith where made co-leaders after this although Adam was the primary leader for Senate affairs due to his incumbent status.
