Elections in the Communal People's Republic of Wamong are held every time there is a vacant position in government, according to the nation's constitution. The nation is a one-party state, so the only actually legal party in the nation is the current ruling party, the Working People's Duighanist Party, which has been ruling since 10 March 2021, which was when the Communists seized power. However, there are opposition parties, the only one being the Republican Party of Wamong. However, all opposition parties are under the rule of the People's Front for a Free Wamong, an alliance of political parties that is headed by the WPDP that all parties must be a part of.
