The cold war between the European League of Micronations and the Republic of Antrisia was a conflict that lasted 4 days, from 31 December 2020 to 5 January 2021. The war was mainly a political conflict, started by the Republic of Antrisia and won by the ELM. The conflict started on New Year's Eve 2020 after Antrisia announced in the Discord server of the ELM that he would declare war on the Nixian Socialist Republic. The reason for this was the socialist ideology that Nixia adhered to. In response, the Democracy of Truto declared the cold war on Antrisia in order to support his ally. After Enclave Leader Youri Koeman of Taedong found out what the Antrisian president said about Nixia, he too decided to join Truto in the conflict. Nixia later also joined this.
Taedong was extremely active in the conflict. It gave several dislike bots on the videos of the Antrisia YouTube channel and did everything it could to force Antrisia to its knees. A day after the declaration of war, the Pidgeianian Empire, known today as the Nueva Esocia Empire, and the Nazbol Confederacy of the Arkansas and Australia, nowadays known as the Meesikian Province of New Klingenthal, also joined the conflict. However, they where not in the coalition of the ELM and were not further involved in the course of the Cold War.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Laramidia had joined Antrisia. Pidgeania then broke all ties with Laramidia, after which Laramidia withdrew from the cold war directly.
On 3 January 2021, there were peace talks between Taedong, Nixia and Antrisia. These took place on the Discord server of the UMAO, an Islamic micronational organization founded by Antrisia. Taedong had made some demands for peace. Antrisia refused to agree, but it was still decided that Antrisia surrendered to the ELM. Main reasons were that Antrisia was on their own against now 6 different micronations, and because the ELM and Antrisia decided that the cold war was a bad start of the new year. However, Antrisia only surrendered to the ELM. Other micronations that were not in the ELM would later make peace with Antrisia. As far as is known, everyone has made peace with Antrisia or left the cold war for what it was.Antrisia redeclared war a day later.The war ended in Antrisia splitting into North and South Antrisia.
