The Duchie/Duchy of Arroios is an elected royal title and position proclaimed in 2020 by D.Madoka. The Duchy has the absolute power in executive, legislative and judicial terms. The Duchy, when elected, is elected for life. When the duke dies, the citizens living in the Duchy vote for the sucessor. The Duchy receives the titles of: Duchy of Arroios, Alameda, Berlengas and Tejo Islands (EN) / Duquis de Arroios, Alameda, Berlengas e Ilhotas do Tejo (PT). The wife/husband of the Duchy receives the title of Vice-Duchy of Arroios, Alameda, Berlengas and Tejo Islands (EN) / Vice-Duquis de Arroios, Alameda, Berlengas e Ilhotas do Tejo (PT).

Powers of the Duchy

The Duchy has the absolute power, this includes:

• Creating and aboloshing the Legislature: if there isn't enough citizens to create a legislature, the Duchy needs to be also the Legislature creating the Duchy Provisional Legislature (DPL);
• Approve or veto laws coming from the Legislature;
• Creating laws: applying both cenarios - with Legislature or with the DPL;
• Supreme Commander of the Duchy Military: applied when a Military is developed
• Supreme Jury/Supreme Executor of Law
• Grand Master of Honorary Orders: applied when the orders are created

Line of Sucession

The Duchy of Arroios is elected by universal suffrage, with no royal house. Making the Duchy, an Absolute Elective Monarchy. So no line of hereditary sucession is applied.
