Dresmonaut, also known as Dresmonaut Intelligence or the Dresmonaut Informatics Force is the civilian domestic and foreign intelligence service of the Prince's Order, the central government of the Princian Commonwealth. It was founded on 2nd April 2022 as the Princian Foreign & Domestic Intelligence Agency, or Princian FDIA, but 16 days later on 18th April 2022 its name was officially changed to its former codename Dresmonaut. It is currently headquartered in the Nasc Docklands district of the Outlying Province of Stonne. It is overseen by the Royal Ministry of Foreign Relations and coordinates its operations with the 1st Royal and 2nd Royal Grouped regiments of the Unified Military Defence Force. In a play-on-words with its name, Dresmonaut agents are colloquially known as "Dresden Astronauts" or "Dresdies" (their official name being Most Loyal Officers of Dresmonaut).
Operational codenames
While in its existence, Dresmonaut has developed a unique set of rules for codenaming its operations. Dresmonaut codenames consist of a random monosyllabic verb followed by the word "the" and a surname, which should be pluralised if it does not already end in "s." Some examples are: "Operation Fade the Hales," "Operation Speak the Abbotts," "Operation Sing the Baileys," "Operation Seek the Albrights," "Operation Catch the Marrs" and "Operation Save the Trippetts." This method of codenaming Dresmonaut's operations is said to be inspired by Cure the Jones, an album by the British soul and pop band Mamas Gun.
