The Principality of Northern Salaboda, more commonly known as Northern Salaboda, is a independence-seeking micronation landlocked within Sweden and lake Usken. The principality has been planning independence for a few months however have not declared independence as of August 2024. The prince has already started plans for the future nation, such as public services, urban plans, sports teams and government. Within the Principality of Northern Salaboda there is one over-lake territory. It is located halfway across Usken and uses it's original Swedish name, Killingön. Being an over-lake territory of the principality, it is granted minor autonomy.
The government of Northern Salaboda has not yet been formed. Currently the only person in power is the Prince. However, the idea is to create a government with a President, Vice President, and other ranks. The Prince would remain head of state while the President would be head of government.
Northern Salaboda utilizes Central European Time as it's official timezone, as per it's geographical location, and Central European Summer Time during summer. Due to it's innevitable ties with Sweden, Northern Salaboda utilizes the Swedish Krona as the official currency. No change of currency is planned in the near future. According to the Boodlesmythe-Tallini System of Classification, the Principality of Northern Salaboda is a Bricks and Mortar, Small, Statehood and 5th World classified micronation.
Etymology
The name of the principality emerged due to it being the northern area of the village of Salaboda, including other land. Other name ideas were proposed but none were appealing enough.
History
In mid-2024, the current prince decided it would be nice to have an independent village of Salaboda, to increase freedom and be able to invest more in the area for everyone's comfort and make it the perfect "utopia". However, making an independent Salaboda would come with some issues. The first would be that Salaboda is rather sizeable in terms of land and summer population. Having everyone in the village agree on independence and not get mad would be a tricky task. So it was then it was decided to just make the northern part of Salaboda a micronation. It was decided to then include part of the forest north of the civilization into the Northern Salabodan territory, aswell as Älgholmen, a little islet connected to the houses by a small bridge. Then, it was also decided to include half of Killingön, a medium-sized island at almost the other side of the lake as an over-lake territory with minor autonomy. Aswell as these territories, there is a group of islands south of Killingön called Aborre Skärgård, or in English, Perch Archipelago. This is a unincorporated over-lake territory and is and most likely will be uninhabited due to the islets' small size. After the territory was decided, other aspects were thought of, such as the driving sides, a possible airport and asphalted roads. Maybe even a small car-carying raft to bring cars from the mainland to the over-lake territories.
Politics and government
As for now, the government of the Principality of Northern Salaboda is currently not active as there are no political parties established within the nation yet.
Prince
The Prince is the person that decides everything within the principality, is also the Head of State.
President
Explain the powers and abilities of your nation's head of government. Title it after the head of government, such as anyone second in command to the head of state. Again, no need to include "The." The President of the principality is the Head of Government. It is the person that decides everything within the government, however the Prince can always ratify and change his decisions. The President is assisted by the Vice-President.
Legislature
The nation is a monarchy. The Prince is part of the Royal Family. When there are two or more siblings, all siblings will rule the nation together. The oldest child will be the messanger to the nation. All siblings must decide together however.

There are no active political parties, however there are inactive political parties. There are three political parties which will be active once politicians join.

Over-lake territories
Over-lake territories are territories not attatched to the mainland and are across the lake. These territories have a small degree of autonomy. Currently, the only over-lake territory has not had it's government created and is temporarily governed by the government of the Principality of Northern Salaboda.
Unincorporated territories
Unincorporated territories are territories that have been annexed but not incorporated to the nation. They do not have a population and are not planned to have any population. They don't have any infrastructure on them and are considered nature reserves. They are only open to visitors when
Geography and climate
Use this section to write about the flora, fauna, terrain, climate, weather, and location of your micronation. The principality has a very rich terrain. Historically, this area of Sweden was used for iron mining, hence the dark-brown color of the lake. The forests are full of trees and berry bushes, and beautiful mossy rocks. The same goes for the over-lake and unincorporated territories of Södra Killingön and Aborre Skärgård. Some of the animals you can find on the mainland are vipers, moose, beavers, wolves, badgers, red fox, hares, lynx, slowworm, roe deer, and even some sightings of brown bear! In the over-lake territories you can't find much more than insects and birds, maybe occasionally a beaver or some kind of river snake. The lake has many species of animals that live in it. They include roach, perch, pike, bream and trout. There are also many crayfish residing on the rocky lake floor. The weather in the principality is, like in most of Scandinavia, quite difficult to precict. It varies every year, one year it rains the whole time and one it doesn't. It is very difficult to precict the weather by more than two days in advance. However, the best time to visit the nation is during summer, where you can hide from the heat and enjoy a magnificent time in and around the nation. The nation is landlocked between Sweden and lake Usken. It is approximately a 45 minutes drive from the E18 highway exit 115 in Örebro. The nations closest airport is Örebro Airport. Örebro Airport offers passenger flights to Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Turkey, England and Finland. Please note some of these flights are seasonal and will not operate all year around.
Economy
The nation has currently no Economy due to the government and generally everything still not being ready, let alone independence not yet declared. The official currency of the principality is the Swedish Krona.
Culture
Currently, in the nation, the only buldings are houses. All public services such as schools, hospitals, etc, have to be found in neighbouring Sweden for now.
