The Kingdom of Snowmanland, more commonly known as Snowmanland, was a micronation in the Draft:Dostyk Sector of Kazakhstan. The Kingdom of Snowmanland was a small Kingdom that was only 2,960 square meters large. the Kingdom of Snowmanland was a short lived nation as their leader, Queen Catherine I, had to move less than a month after their independence. The Kingdom of Snowmanland only lasted 42 days as no one was willing to assume control of the Snowmani throne after Queen Catherine I's absence. Queen Catherine I of Kingdom of Snowmanland eventually sent a message to the leaders of the other nations within the Draft:Dostyk Sector giving them to green light to divide and annex the Kingdom of Snowmanland.

History

Pre-Dostyk Coalition War

the History of the Kingdom of Snowmanland begins before their independence. The Draft:Dostyk Sector had 4 nations which were vying for power. 3 of the nations within the Draft:Dostyk Sector formed a coalition against the Draft:Republic of Grapestan, which owned the snowman territories. The coalitions formed against the Draft:Republic of Grapestan never had an official name so it is often just referred to as the Anti-Grapestan Coalition (AGC). The AGC had been planning the invasion of the Draft:Republic of Grapestan for a couple days, and the strongest nation (military wise) within the ACG was the Republic of Dostykstan. The Leader of the Republic of Dostykstan happened to be one of Queen Catherine I's close friends. Because of this, President DRG of the Republic of Dostykstan asked Queen Catherine I wether she wanted the lands she lived on to be an independent nation from the Draft:Republic of Grapestan. Queen Catherine I responded that she did want her lands to be independent, so the two leaders made a deal in which the Republic of Dostykstan would fight for Snowmani freedom.

Dostyk Coalition War

On the 2nd of December 2022 armed forces from the Anti-Grapestan Coalition (AGC) breached into the Grapestan capital of Clubhouse City. The President of the Draft:Republic of Grapestan just so happened to be at the capital so he immediately fled through Yurtistan and into Tennis Court City. AGC Forces quickly pursued President Trevan of the Draft:Republic of Grapestan and they ended up capturing him in tennis Court City just before he could escape.

Independence

With President Trevan of the Draft:Republic of Grapestan captured, the Anti-Grapestan Coalition (AGC) began demanding various territories. While the Draft:Republic of MVP and the Draft:Empire of Iltuma were carving out swaths of territory from the Draft:Republic of Grapestan, the Republic of Dostykstan was mainly negotiating for the independence of the "Snowmani Territories". President DRG of the Republic of Dostykstan was able to get most of the snowman territories independence except for the northern most part which the Draft:Republic of Grapestan refused to give up.

Queen Catherine I Moving

In mid December, the Kingdom of Snowmanland wasn't even a month old and the royal family moved away. With the Kingdom of Snowmanland being so young the position of Prime Minister was never filled and no one was interested in taking the Snowmani throne. Because of this, the Kingdom of Snowmanland's neighbors, the Draft:Republic of Grapestan and the Draft:Empire of Iltuma began planning an invasion of the Kingdom. The Republic of Dostykstan was worried that the loss of an ally and their neighbors getting more land would leave them vulnerable to invasion. Because of these worries the Republic of Dostykstan came to the defense of the Kingdom of Snowmanland and threatened an attack on the Kingdom of Snowmanland would be considered an attack on the Republic of Dostykstan. With the Kingdom of Snowmanland being so reliant on the Republic of Dostykstan, it became a de facto part of the Republic of Dostykstan.

Dissolution of the Kingdom of Snowmanland

After of almost a month of the Republic of Dostykstan warding off invasions of the Kingdom of Snowmanland, President DRG of the Republic of Dostykstan contacted Queen Catherine I about the situation. Queen Catherine I thanked the Republic of Dostykstan for defending their lands but said that the Kingdom of Snowmanland shall be divided as she was dissolving the nation. The Leaders of the Republic of Dostykstan, Draft:Empire of Iltuma, and Draft:Republic of Grapestan met up at Clubhouse city on the 13th of January and drew up the new borders. Once the borders were drawn and decided on the Kingdom of Snowmanland was no more.

Geography and climate

With the Kingdom of Snowmanland being so small and so far up north it has some quite cold winters and quite flat terrain. The vast majority of the Kingdom of Snowmanland was used for housing and roads only leaving a thin strip of open land that was only 670 square meters. Similarly to the rest of the Draft:Dostyk Sector, the Kingdom of Snowmanland was quite dry due to its location in the Caspian Depression and its close location to the Ryn Desert.

Geography

The Kingdom of Snowmanland has some quite bland geography as most of its territory was used up for housing and roads. Due to this, the Kingdom of Snowmanland's Geography was very flat and their only green open space was a thin strip of land in the east that was only 670 square meters. On top of this, the Kingdom of Snowmanland was about 20 meters below sea level due to its location in the Caspian Depression.

Regions and Territories

Although the Kingdom of Snowmanland claimed the entirety of the "Snowmani Territories" they did not control the entirety of these territories. This was because during the peace treaty following the First Dostyk Coalition War, the Draft:Republic of Grapestan refused to give up the northern most part of the "Snowmani Territories" leaving the land disputed Until the Kingdom of Snowmanland was dissolved.

Disputed Territories

During the peace treaty of the First Dostyk Coalition War, the Draft:Republic of Grapestan refused to give up the northern most part of the "Snowman territories". It is believed the reason the Draft:Republic of Grapestan was unwilling to give up the small piece of land was because the people who lived in the territory were of high value to the Draft:Republic of Grapestan. Due to the Kingdom of Snowmanland claiming the entirety of the "Snowmani Territories" and the Draft:Republic of Grapestan refusing to give up the northern most part of the territory, the land remained disputed until the dissolution of the Kingdom of Snowmanland.

Climate

Due to the Kingdom of Snowmanland and the Draft:Dostyk Sector as a whole being in western Kazakhstan, it can get quite dry. Although the climate of the Kingdom of Snowmanland and the Draft:Dostyk Sector is quite dry, winds coming from the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus, and Western Russia allow rain clouds to blow in which mainly happens in the spring and fall. Although these winds blow in rain, (which most people here enjoy), the winds also blow in snow during the winter, and dust/sand in the summer which can cause very severe weather conditions.
