What is Ghurklas?

Ghurklas is a kingdom, ruled by Tvvd. It's based in the flanders and the north of France. The dark blue on the flag represents sea, the light blue represents sky, the yellow represents the sun and the white line pointing at the sky represents progress. And on top of the flag, there is a Caracal also known as Floppa, the national animal.

Language

Ghurklas is mostly french. Due to it being in the flanders, Ghurklas has dutch as regional language, however no cityzens actually speaks dutch as a native/fluent level. The official language of Ghurklas is ghurklasian, which is a conlang created by Tvvd.

History

Pre-Micronation

Tvvd first had the idea to make a micronation, after seeing a video on Sealand by the french youtuber Squeezie, a first flag was made, but no name was created and it wasn't really a Micronation yet. The micronation was first a country on a minecraft server between friends called the "Kingdom of Floppa" created around ~15 October 2022, being an island nation. 1 day later it changed his name to Ghurklas, and adopted a french flag rotated the same way the modern does with the meme "Floppa" on it, created by Leroihelios. The colors where then changed the colors of the flag that was made before. The server then shutdown some days later.

Micronation

Starting Era

The micronation was transported IRL the 20 October 2022, it had a cleaner and less wide version of the flag, with the Floppa removed, made by Tvvd. But Leroihelios tough we should bring back the national animal on the flag, so Tvvd make a more clean version of floppa that was on the flag. The king then did a kingdom with someone called drnc (this part will be refered as the turkish part), The kingdom of Joeland, with the flag being a tricolor flag divized in egal parts, the bottom one being black (the color drnc wanted), the middle one white, the top one blue (the color tvvd wanted), with on top of it a purple square. The kingdom did not last that long and it divised in two parts, the ghurklasian part becoming ghurklas again as a constitutional monarchy and then the turkish part becoming a socialist party in Ghurklas the 1 November 2023.

The discord server was made the 28 October 2022 and elections were held. The first election was made in a rush, and the first marshall was a Matthew, but they soon got remade IRL and louen was elected as a marshall until the 15 November 2022, when new elections happened and the online parties were able to hold elections. The elections were winned by the socialist party, ruling Ghurklas during November. Louen was elected again during December

In the start of 2023, a new party was created, the "nationalist party", who were actually fascists. The socialist party became peopleist, "a socialist ideology with more extra steps" as discribed by the party's leader. The 9 January 2023, new elections happened, this time IRL, Ghurklas's population was around 10 people (non-online). The democrats were supposed to win due to their enormous support compared to the other parties, however, the nationalist invited a lot of friends to the micronation to increase his popularity, leading to the party's election.

Under nationalist rule, Ghurklas became the "ghurklasian nationalist federation". The democrats were unhappy due to the change in politics, and the democratic leader Louen started to investigate, thinking the nationalist party won due to corruption
