The Gerrian English Cyrillic alphabet (Cyrillic: Џерриан Еңлиш Цјриллик алпхабет) is a variety of the w:Cyrillic script used to write English spoken in the micronation of Gerria. There are 34 letters in this alphabet each with unique sounds.

It is used together with Latin script as the two writing systems used for English.

The letters "Ю" and "Я" were historically present in the alphabet, until they were removed again in late 2023.

Transliterations

  • When C is before A, O, U, L, K, or R, it is transliterated as "К". When C is before E, I, or Y, it is transliterated as "Ц".
  • When G is before I, E, or Y, it is transliterated as "Џ", everywhere else it is transliterated as "Г".
  • In some words like "hallelujah" or "fjord", J is transliterated as "Ј". It is normally transliterated as "Џ"
  • The NG diagraph can either be transliterated as "Ң" or "НГ".
  • In some words like "treasure", "pleasure", or "vision", S is transliterated as "Ж". Everywhere else S is transliterated as "С".
  • The CH, SH, and TH diagraphs are always transliterated as "Ч", "Ш", and "Ҭ" respectively.
  • The Latin letters "Č", "Ň", "Š", "Ť", and "Ž" can be used as alternatives for the "CH", "NG", "SH", "TH", and "ZH" diagraphs when written in Latin script.
