Fernando Facio Jr (born May 2, 2002) is a politician, lawyer, and Libertarian activist known for being the representative of the Free Republic of Liberland (European micronation) in Mexico.

Biography
Fernando Facio Jr was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 2, 2002.
During his adolescence, in 2017, he was part of the El Rancho Teen Court Foundation, serving as a juror in the City Council of Pico Rivera, California, which handles cases of crimes committed by teenagers in school areas and administers trials by other young people, often imposing penalties of community service.[1]
In 2021, through the Youth, Women, Elderly, and Disabled Support Organization (Voluntad Colima, A.C.), he expressed to El Observatorio Noticias his alarm and concern about the insecurity experienced by youth and the general population in the State of Colima, Mexico, urgently pointing out the need for the three levels of government (Municipal, State, and Federal) to address the serious problem continuously.[2]
Education
He completed high school at the University of Colima, counts with a Bachelor's Degree in Law by the Multitechnical Professional University. In addition, he holds certifications from the United Nations on Prevention and Detection of Transnational Organized Crime and from the United States Department of Homeland Security in Leadership and Influence.
Fuerza por México
In 2021, through the Fuerza por México party, he was a Pre-Candidate for Local Deputation, District 1, for the elections in the Colima State. He could not continue his candidacy due to statutes of the Electoral Tribunal stipulating that he must not hold nationalities beyond Mexican.[3]
Liberland
On March 1, 2022, he began representing the micronation Free Republic of Liberland in Mexico, a territory between Serbia and Croatia not claimed by any nation (terra nullius) known as Siga.
Philanthropic Donations
In July 2022, he began participating in philanthropic donations to rural areas in the northern State of Colima.[4]
Diplomacy
In October 2023, in his capacity as Liberland Representative, he was invited to the reception of the 112th Anniversary of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the 30th Anniversary of the Economic and Cultural Office of Taipei, Taiwan, where people from different embassies attended, and he was personally attended and recognized by Ambassador Armando Cheng. They were able to discuss topics such as visas, Technological Investments, International Law, Public Law, Education, Health, and Tourism.[5]
On March 2024, he met with the governor of Nevada, Joe Lombardo, where he presented to him, and his wife Liberland, and were able to talk about opportunities Liberland: Nevada. At that same month, he met with members of the Nevada Student Association of the University of Nevada, Reno Campus, which caused interest for promotion in the university, and discussing possibilities for future presentations on Campus.[6]
