The Governorate of Dobrok is a Governorate of the Kingdom of Fontasia. Its capital is the city of Dobrok. The population of Dobrok is 2.
Brief History
Dobrok, though originally known with a different, unknown name was established sometime around 2016 as a colony of the First Assemblic Empire. The Fontasian Provisional Government established themselves in the area of Dobrok in a separate colony, known as Livingstonia several months prior.
Dobrok would be a northern retreat for the Assemblian Imperial Family for many years. Dobrok was officially named Dobrach in 2018, after the Storming of Dobrach during the Assemblian Revolution of 2018. An effort began to colonize the area around Dobrok Pond occurred during the Fourth Assemblic Empire, with the establishment of the Dobrach Company, a subsidiary of the much larger Corrigith Expedition, which was headquartered in Fontum.
During the First Assemblic Federation, Dobrach was renamed to Dobrok. Dobrok became an important naval establishment during the Assemblic Imperium. On 26 December 2021, the second Assemblian solid-fuel rocket was launched from Dobrok Launch Field, starting the region's history of multiple rocket launches. Dobrok became a Fontasian governorate on 1 March 2022.
Another solid-fuel rocket was launched from the Governorate in April 2022, however it was an unsuccessful mission. Another rocket test happened in December 2022 as well, which caused the rocket to explode, sending debris into the nearby Dobrok Pond. On 19 February 2023, the first successful rocket test since 2021 occurred in the Governorate.
Dobrok is a declining governorate in the Kingdom of Fontasia, similar to the Governorate of Northan and serious propositions have been made to downgrade the Governorate to Protectorate status, completely abandon the Governorate or to transplant the Governorate elsewhere in recent months.
Government
Until the beginning of localized rule in the Kingdom of Fontasia in late 2022, the Governorate of Dobrok, as with all Governorates were directly controlled by the Fontasian Royal Government. In Praetorial elections, the Governorate has sided with varying political parties, notably the Ergatist Party of Fontasia in Spring 2022 and the Free Fontasia Party in Fall 2022.
As of 2023, there are three municipalities in the Governorate of Dobrok.

Geography
Dobrok is located in the Northern Region of the Kingdom of Fontasia as an exclave completely surrounded by the United States. It is located approximately 32 miles northeast of Fontum, Fontasia and approximately 35 miles southeast of Rye, North Coast, making it the effective midway point between Fontum and Rye. Dobrok is located on the small Dobrok Pond, with all major settlements located on the north coast of the pond. The eastern border of the Governorate is the Dobor River, which outflows from Dobrok Pond at the city of Dobrok. The coastline of Dobrok Pond is swampy on the Sannuskani Marshes on the western part of the Governorate and more solid-ground towards the central part of the Governorate, with a few swampy islets forming during dry seasons along the settlement of Dobrok. The settlement of Sannuskani is located on a small peninsula in the swampy marshes, connected by a private dirt road to the city of Dobrok. North of that road is the Dobrok Launch Field, a rocket testing field used by the Fontasian Defense Forces and the Fontasian Space Agency to test rockets and other explosives. North of the field is Ovapti, an abandoned construction site notable for its large sand hills.
The climate of Dobrok is similar to that of the Assemblian governorates, however it is slightly more inland than Assemblia, causing colder temperatures in winter and hotter summers.
Culture
Dobrocian culture is known for its very particular cuisine that influenced modern Fontasian cooking and has since been exported across the Kingdom of Fontasia and former Assemblian imperial territories. Dobrok is best known for its beautiful landscape and rocket launches.
