The Deputy Prime Minister of Malpok is the deputy head of government and a senior member of the Council of Ministers in the Kingdom of Malpok. It is an office that is not always in use.
History
The deputy prime ministry was formally established on 15 November 2022. Despite the prime ministry existing under the republic, the office of deputy prime minister wasn't established until the kingdom was founded.
Appointment
The deputy prime minister is nominated for office by the Prime Minister of Malpok. However, like all other ministers, the DPM is appointed by the Monarch.
Role
The roles of the deputy prime minister include:
- Standing in for the Prime Minister
- Acting as Deputy Chair of the Cabinet
- Representing their Constituency in the House of Assembly
- Helping Propose Legislation
