The Democratic Republic of Qewexlia (Qewexlian: Qewelex Demoqrati Trepabili, Greek: Λαϊκή Δημοκρατία του Κεβεξλια) is a micronation located in western Cyprus founded on 2010.
The origins of the name of the micronation is totally unknown, and nothing about it is present in the documents in the administration. Qewexlia is also a very weird name for a micronation.
The micronation was founded in 2010 by Qanxa Brla''xweyxa, as the Democratic Republic of Qewexlia. However, he invented a small part of the Qewexlian language some years before the micronation was founded. And as said, Qewexlian language is not yet finished, there are a lot of verbs without its version in Qewexlian, and there are also a small to medium lack of words.
In 2014, the Democratic Republic of Qewexlia received its first telegram in years. By that year there were a few people who acknowledged about the micronation, and the "population" increased. However it was known only in Cyprus. Between 2015 and 2016, some people from the rest of thr world started to know the existence of the Democratic Republic of Qewexlia.
Today, its existence is still unknown to most people, and not everyone who knows about it recognises it as a "nation". Since the Democratic Republic of Qewexlia hasn't any relations with other micronations, it's very unknown in the world, and it's very hard to see someone who knows about it.
