The Cordinari Ace, simply known as the Ace (COA, Æ), is the national currency of the Grand Duchy of Cordinar. It consists of seven banknotes and is pegged to the Canadian dollar.
Etymology
The word 'Ace' is an atypical synonym for dollar. It derives from the Latin 'as' meaning 'a unit'. The diphthong Æ is used as the symbol because it resembles the letters 'A' and 'E' pushed together.
History
The Cordinari Ace became the legal tender of Cordinar on December 2, 2020 when Grand Duke Kory declared the Currency Act. In the days that followed, the banknotes were designed with depictions of important people and things from the nation's quite young history. On December 15, 2020, seven sets of all seven banknotes were printed and given to the treasurer and Count of Luonnonmaa, Lord Joshua Campbell I to be put into the Royal Bank of Cordinar.
Æ100's nickname
Cordinar's 100 Ace banknote was given the nickname of 'Swaggerones' (pronounced swagger-onays) after a discussion between William II and Grand Duke Kory led to the former refering to the picture of the latter on the bill as 'swag'. This term is not used officially by the goverment but rather the Cordinari amongst themselves.
