Importance

The COOD is a very important member of Davonian society, due to the position being the assistant to the head of state. The confederate overseer is in charge of all affairs pertaining to the nation itself. They are in charge of taxation, keeping in contact with all autonomous states and prospective autonomous states, making sure the citizens of the nation are happy, and tourism.

The COOD, being in charge of taxation, are in charge of creating and abolishing taxation laws as they see fit. The confederate overseer will receive proposals for either implementing new taxation laws or to abolish them, and they will accept or deny these proposals as they see fit. They are in charge of all federal taxation.

The COOD, being in charge of meeting with the leaders of all autonomous states, must be fluent in Davonian and English. The confederate overseer will meet with the leaders of autonomous states to check in on the state of the nation, as well as meeting with the leaders of prospective autonomous states to inspect the state and its government. The confederate overseer is also in charge of proposing the admittance of new autonomous states. They will propose admittance the Confederate Board of Davonia and the CBD, as well as the SOTCOD will discuss the admittance of the autonomous state.

The COOD is in charge of keeping the citizens of the nation happy. This means that, should it be evident that the citizens of the nation are unhappy, the confederate overseer's job is to try to make changes to fix the issue or issues that the citizens are facing. If it is out of the confederate overseer's hands, it is still their duty to inform those in the government who can fix the issues that the citizens are facing.

The COOD is in charge of the tourism of the nation. This means that they will inspect popular tourist destinations and determine whether or not they are safe and bring a good amount of tourism to the nation. It is their job to keep tourists safe and happy.
