The Communist Party of Shaoshan (CPS) is a communist and revolutionary socialist political organization in the Republic of Shaoshan and was the ruling party in its predecessor nation, the Democratic People's Republic of Costa Dorada as the Revolutionary Worker's Party. It served as the vanguard party during both of the initial revolutionary periods of both nations. It was started by Titus Smith, a leftist politician who's ideological positions evolved from conservative liberal positions to social liberal and social democratic positions over time before taking up a Marxist position. The party was three times dissolved in November 2014, May 2015 and March 2016. the last in which they merged with a splinter cell of Social Democrats to form the Theodorist Party. It was revived after the banning of the Worker's Party in September 2016, to which it considers itself to be a revolutionary continuation, however, not a legal successor.
Platform
The common goal of the party is to continue the revolutionary struggle through socialism as a means of transition to communism and keep the revolution alive. It adheres to a strong sense of communist and revolutionary socialist ideals inspired by the works and philosophies of Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Mao Zedong, and Ho Chi Minh. It also believes in a core principle and thought process of its leader, Titus Smith, called "Smithism", which states that the path to revolution and eventual world worker's state is revolution in the third world and social democracy and democratic socialism in the First World and that through education and "de-capitalization", people will gradually favor progressive reforms and even revolutionary idealism. It concerns itself with providing equality for all groups both foreign and domestic, micronational and macronational. It exercises the idea of proletarian revolution and proletarian internationalism. Its social policy aims to establish equality for women, minorities, and the LGBTQ community. It also concernes itself with the environment and seeks to help reduce climate change and address environmental concerns through the collective effort of the people. Economically, it is concerned for the rights of the working class, eradicating poverty and establishing a state where the people are paid based on their production and contribution to society. The party is strongly anti-capitalist and believes in dismantling all forms of monopoly and exploitation and establishing a new society in which the means of production are socially owned and made to directly satisfy the needs of the people rather than for capital profit. The Communist Party also believes in a California nationalist platform and supports a California nation state with Shaoshanian autonomous regionalism.
