The Communist Party of Dubovia (Sloval: Komunistická strana Dubovska; Italian: Partito Comunista di Dubovia) was currently one of the ruling parties and the largest party in Dubovia. The party was founded as a merger between the Dubovian Labour Party and the People's Marxist Organisation. Its main ideology was Marxism-Mišoism-Carpentierism.

History

The discussions to form the Communist Party were held between Mišo and Esty as early as May 2024. The main reasons to form the Party were to unite the Marxist left and to stand against the National Independence Party, led by Wepe.

Leadership and organisation

The Communist Party is led by the Central Committee, which was elected by the party members on 19th June 2024 and the Party is organised by its Party Charter, which was approved by the members of the party on 20 June 2024.

The Charter mentions the founding principles of the Communist Party, regulates membership in the Party and its institutions.

The Party is organised similarly to other communist or socialist parties. It has a Party Congress, which is the highest institutions, composed of all party members. The Congress decides on most important issues of the Party's functioning, such as electoral manifestos or candidacy lists etc., and also elects the Central Committee, headed by a General Secretary. The Central Committee acts as the executive and policy-making institution and oversees general party administration. The Central Committee is presided over by the General Secretary, who acts as first among equals.

Ideology

The Communist Party of Dubovia is a Marxist], socialist and progressive political party. It supports a socialist form of democracy and an inclusive and tolerant society.

The main ideology of the party is so called "Marxism-Mišoism-Carpentierism" (previously called "Dubovian socialism"), which is built on the principles of "three democracies."

The Communist Party of Dubovia rejects fascism, Marxism-Leninism as well as Stalinism.

The Three Democracies principle includes political democracy, economic democracy and inclusive democracy.

The Party defines political democracy as the rejection of one-party states, authoritarianism and dictatorships, rejection of nationalism, but also support for human rights, such as freedom of speech, religion and assembly etc. and also the concept of dictatorship of the proletariat, i.e.: a system, where the workers holds state power and democratically control the Government directly, or through free and fair elections.

The principle of economic democracy is defined as rejection of private ownership of the means of production and instead promotes workplace democracy, through cooperatives and through state-owned enterprise, as well as a mixture of a socialist planned economy and market socialism.

Inclusive democracy is based on progressive social and cultural values. The Party defines it as the support for groups, which the Party deems marginalised and oppressed, like the LGBTQ+ community, or ethnic minorities. Such support includes same-sex marriage, affirmative action and social inclusion through welfare programmes.

Electoral history

The Communist Party of Dubovia is a member of the Socialist Front of Dubovia, a coalition of like-minded left-wing parties, which seeks to "defend and protect the socialist-democratic system" in Dubovia. The Socialist Front polled at 73% in the last opinion poll and beat the now defunct National Independence Party. Due to lack of enough competitors, it can expected, that the Socialist Front will gain almost all, if not all seats in the Federal Assembly.

As of June 2024, the Communist Party didn't stand in any election, thus having no electoral history on its own.
