Austonia, officially the Commonwealth of Austonia, is a country located in central Texas. It is made of the nations of Plavonia, Voldenstein, Tedesse, and Winstia.

Etymology
The story of the name is quite simple, The founders of the Commonwealth took it from the name of the nearest American city and changed the ending to "onia".
History
On September 1, 2020, the leaders of the nations of Plavonia and Voldenstein ratified the 'Articles of Commonwealth' detailed the new rules of the Union and how they would be united. They combined their Armed Forces into one larger force under the name 'The Armed Forces of Austonia' with subdivisions under the respective nations. Their first involvement was the Deer War which was declared after the mother of one of the leaders was attacked by a deer, seeing this the Senate would declare war on the local deer population, it ended in stalemate but no peace treaty has been signed. The capital would be centered in Porchia with a Parliamentary Democracy, although soon after the government would reform changing the Parliament to a Senate and the title of Prime Minister to president adopted an American-styled simplified government. With the political situation in the U.S. getting worse in the lead up to their election an Executive Order would be signed (mostly ceremonial) that said in case the situation got even worse the Armed Forces would assist in disaster relief. Soon after a period of stagnation set in as summer 2021 saw the citizens go on vacation and the senate being adjourned for the time being. After summer the President and Senate Leader would pass legislation in August to revitalize the nation, bringing back other citizens who hadn't been involved for a while.
Government and Politics
The Government of Austonia is centered on an American-styled / Roman-styled senatorial system with a President elected by popular vote of the people and senators from each nation in Austonia, the current number of senators as of 2021 (not including the president) is 3. A bill can be passed through the senate via a 2/3 majority vote but can be vetoed by the president although a unanimous vote can overturn said veto. Senatorial sessions are usually scheduled for Saturdays of every week or every other week but emergency sessions can be called by the president in times of crisis or need. Before the American reforms the country operated in a British styled parliamentary system although this proved to be ineffective at running the nation resulting in the adoption of the American system. The president is the commander and chief of the Austonian Armed Forces (AAF). The senate has the power to declare wars but the president may authorize military measures with 1/3rd senatorial approval.
Geography
The union has hot summers, particularly in July and August, and even the nighttime temperatures remain high, as the elevation is modest despite the hilly terrain. Winter temperatures are sometimes as much as ten degrees cooler than in other parts of Texas to the east. Rain ranging from 20 to 58 inches of rainfall each year.
