Commonwealth of Austonia Armed Forces

The Commonwealth of Austonia Armed Forces, more commonly known as the Austonian Military, is the military of the Commonwealth of Austonia, which is located in Texas. The armed forces consists of two branches, and a sub branch. The first is the Austonian Marine Corp, the largest branch with 7 soldier. Three in active duty and four in the Cadet Corp which is the reserves. The second is the smallest branch, which is the Marine Corp Aviation Wing. This sub branch operates RC drones and air defense weapons. There is only 1 person who is in it. They are also in the Marine Corp itself. The final and oldest branch is the Austonian Coast Guard. Although the Marines were created before the Coast Guard for Austonia, The Coast Guard has been serving Kingdom of Plavonia,Pillowville and the Republic of Paul's Island. The Coast Guard currently has 2 Coast Guardsmen, but that number is expected to rise after COVID-19 subsides.

The Austonian military is comprised of Marines and Coast Guardsmen across 3 nations in the commonwealth. Five Marines from Kingdom of Plavonia (Also supply 2 Coast Guardsmen and 1 Airman), 1 Voldian Border Guardsmen (Who is serving in the Marine Corp) and 1 Marine from the Kingdom of Winstonia.

Etymology

The appropriate name of a Marine is Marine or soldier because they are the ground forces of Austonia. The appropriate name of a Marine Corp Aviation Wing member is Airman (Plural Airmen). This is because these brave Airmen operate our Drones for aerial surveillance. Lastly, members of the Coast Guard are known as Coast Guardsmen because they operate the Austonian fleet.

History of the military

History of the Marine Corp

On November 17, the Border Guard of Voldenstien was created. This branch of the Voldian military comprised of an Air division, sea/lake division and a ground division. They were all operated by King Wright I, who used certain branches for certain national emergencies and tasks. On January 8, the Plavonian Royal Guard was created. This unit composed of one singular division, the 1st Plavonian Infantry Division. In late March after the COVID-19 lockdowns, an alliance known as NWATO (North West {city name} Treaty Organization) was formed. This alliance functioned much like NATO, and had the two militaries come closer together. Meetings were held on national affairs and things were good in the nations, until The War of the Dear. After the mother of the King of Voldenstien and his dog were attacked by a dear, The War of the Dear was declared. An emergency meeting was held on May 17 and the following day, May 18th, the war was declared. The war functioned much like the Emu War, having Austonian Marines with automatic airsoft pistols escorting family members against deer. The war ended on June 1 after a BB hit a neighbor's window. This was the first armed conflict both Nations fought in together. This brought the two nations closer together, but peace wouldn't last. Exactly two days later on June 3, martial law was declared in both Voldenstien and Plavonia because of the riots happening in the bordering nation of the United States. Luckly, nothing happened and martial law was lifted on June 30. Because of the shared military history, shared culture between nations and the proximity to each other unity talks were under way. On July 28, the Commonwealth of Austonia was proposed and confirmed. The official unity wouldn't happen until September 1, the day the constitution was signed. This brought together the armed forces and it created the Austonian Marines. The aviation wing was also created, but the history of them will be in the tab below. The Austonian Marines had 3 soldiers and were led by Co-Kings King Wright I and King Paul I. On the second weekend of September, the co kings realized what might happen to the US after the election. The kings did not like this and did three things. First, they added an amendment in the constitution stating that all citizens of Austonia must become apart of the military until the nation reaches 10 citizens. Secondly, they added another amendment in the constitution stating that if full blown war breaks out in the US, or a state emergency in Texas happened, all members of the military who wanted could create or join an Austonian based militia known as the Texas Emergency Force(s). Lastly, the first surplus store mission began. The Voldian side of the Marines purchased a BDU camo cap and a United States canteen. The Plavonian side of the Marines purchased two canteens, two BDU camo caps, one mess kit with silverware and a M1 United States helmet. The second visit is scheduled for December 12, 2020.

Marine Corp Aviation Wing

The Marine Corp Aviation Wing has its roots in the Voldian Border Guard Aviation Division. The Border Guard operated one RC drone with a camera. The division was scraped on April 3, along with the RC drone when King Wright I deemed it not useful because the battery didn't work. The unit was forgotten about until the unification of Plavonia and Voldenstien. A Aviation Wing was needed because Plavonia had just acquired a drone. The Marine Corp Aviation was thus born on September 3, 2020. Not much has happened since with the wing, but big plans are underway for it.

Austonian Coast Guard

The Austonian Coast Guard has the most history and is the most advanced out of any of the branches. It comprises of two Coast Guardsmen. The Coast Guard is headquartered in the province of Deckland. It has one speed boat and two kayaks. The Coast Guards origines trace back all the way back to 2014-2015, where the Republic and Paul´s island was formed. It had the ¨Republican Navy¨ which comprised of two kayaks. After the end of Paul's Island, the navy was decommissioned and the kayaks were used for recreational use. They were briefly used in the Republic of Pillowville´s expedition back to Pauls Island, but were never used after that. On January 8, Plavonia was formed and they needed a Navy. They used the old kayaks and a newly acquired speed boat by there father to create their first fleet. One kayak was name PSS (Plavonian Service Ship) Paul, the second kayak was named PSS Scott and the biggest ship (The speed boat) was named PSS Plavonia. After the merger between Voldenstien and Plavonia, the Plavonian Navy became the Austonian Navy on September 2. on September 4 in was renamed to the Coast Guard to better reflect what it is. The ships were renamed to ACGSS Voldenstien (Austonian Coast Guard Service Ship, was PSS Paul) ACGSS Plavonia (formally PSS Scott) and ACGSS Austonia (Was PSS Plavonia). The Coast Guard wears the same uniform as the Marines and the two Coast Guardsmen are also in the Marines.

All others not stated are up to the National leaders (Province leaders). Because Austonia is a commonwealth, the idividual nations have a lot more say in there own affairs than of there were states or provinces.
