The Chief Minister of Versmark is the Head of Government of the Sovereign State of Versmark. The Chief Minister is tasked with managing the various Ministries of Versmark. The current Chief Minister is Anni Crowhurst, Duchess of Hügel. The position of Chief Minister was created with the intention that it would reduce the work load of managing the government for the Head of State, while still keeping an organized Head of Government.

History

The post of Chief Minister was originally meant to be a position similar to a Prime Minister, though this was changed to be more heavily focused on a overseer for the various ministries.

The first Chief Minister of Versmark was Tebbeck Thrupney, who served for several months. Under Thrupney the Government developed well, completing many projects. Near the end of 2023 Thrupney resigned, as he had commitments otherwhere. Anni Crowhurst was appointed by Parliament into the post a few weeks later.

Powers of the Chief Minister

The Chief Minister may assign tasks and projects, as well as guide Ministers in their work. The Chief Minister also reports the work of the Ministries to the Sovereign of Versmark at regular intervals. As all Ministers can, the Chief Minister may propose legislation to Parliament.
