The Chancellor of Gerway, internally known as the Chancellor of the Republic, is the executive head of government of the Republic of Gerway. It is the second highest office in the republic. The chancellor is responsible to parliament and the cabinet.
History
The chancellery is the second oldest office in Gerway. It was established on 29 April 2023. The office was nearly titled "Prime Minister" but the title of chancellor was selected and written into the constitution.

The roles and duties granted to the chancellor include:
- Nominating MPs for Office as Ministers
- Advising the President
- Chairing the Cabinet
- Setting the Government Legislative Agenda
- Guiding the Legislative Process in Parliament
Appointment
The chancellor is appointed by the President of Gerway and serves officially at the president's pleasure. However, in practice they are required to maintain parliamentary confidence for their tenure in office as parliament can dismiss the government at any time through a vote of no confidence.
