The Chairman of the Mervustan Authority was the designated head of the Mervustan Authority when it was the name to describe the three branches of government. The title was created for Matthew Hanlon, the second Prime Minister of Mervustan. The title was never of great importance, and it was made to symbolise who was the head of the three branches of government. When Hanlon was removed from office on 3 November 2021, the office of Chairman of the Mervustan Authority was also abolished. The Governor of Mervustan was given the position of designated head of the Mervustan Authority, which was renamed the Mervustan Government on 1 February 2022.
