Her Imperial & Serene Highness Ceres I, is the current, Matriarch of New Reno per her role as the head of the Percy-Smith Family and restored House of Normandy. Though she has held the positions of Queen and Earl of New Reno during the first few years of its existence, Ceres is regarded more as the family matriarch and thus the spiritual leader and sainted mother of New Reno. As such her reign as Matriarch is considered backdated to New Reno's founding. As Matriarch of the House of Smith, she has largely overseen its transition between socialist and monarchist governments and its flirtations with democracy. She has also overseen the gradual transition of the leadership of the Smith family to her daughter, Diana. Under this transition, when Ceres dies, the Houses of Gunter and Miller (the house she was born and married into respectively) will be merged into the House of Smith. Diana Smith would then take on the role of head of the Houses of Smith, Percy Americanus, and Normandy as 2nd Baroness to both and become the 2nd Matriarch of New Reno. Upon her passing, these titles will fall to her daughter Julia and then to her oldest daughter, Titania. If Titania refuses the title, which some speculate she could, then it would fall to Juno, who if still reigning as Queen, would inherit those titles, absorbing the position of Matriarch into that of the Monarchy.
