The Cabinet of the Frondesian Federation, sometimes called the Cabinet of Frondesia, is the senior decision making body of the Government of Frondesian Federation. It is normally chaired by the Prime Minister but can sometimes be chaired and lead by the President. Members are appointed by the president on the advice of the prime minister and members can be appointed directly from the Frondesian citizenry, but are normally appointed from either house of parliament.
History
The cabinet is one of the oldest Frondesian governmental institutions. Its roots are traced backed to the constitution and the cabinet as a body was founded on 25 August 2023.
Meetings
Meetings can take place in a range of places. However, they are usually hosted online or in the Presidential Palace depending on the situation. Meeting locations are usually decided by the person leading the meeting, whether that be the president or the prime minister.
Appointment
The President of Frondesia is ultimately responsible for appointing the cabinet. They appoint the prime minister on the advice and confirmation of the Federal Assembly, and appoint other federal ministers to the cabinet on the prime minister's nomination.
All members of the cabinet, including the prime minister, can be dismissed by the president at the president's discretion.
