The Battle of Arupejo Base was a conflict which lasted for approximately fifteen days between the Kappan Empire and an unknown assailant. The battle took place at and around Arupejo Base, the main city of the Parklands Territory. It was the first use of the Kappan military in a battle.
Background
With the claiming of the Parklands Territory by the Kappan Empire, the empire expanded massively, gaining in size a hundredfold. All this territory was very challenging to control. For the purpose of accurate and swift military action, the Kappan Bicycle Calvary was formed.
Battle
First day
On the first day of the battle, it was discovered that the small Kappan flag placed on the ground had been knocked over and a handwritten note reading "Take this stupid thing down" had been placed next to it. The Kappan armed forces were placed on high alert and began patrolling the area.
Second through fifth day
Military patrols continued from day 2 through 5, with no new notes appearing. On the fifth day, the bicycle calvary was stood down, with the Kappan Expedition Force remaining in the area.
Main battle of Arupejo Base begins
On the sixth day, the K.E.F., operating out of a nearby tree, spotted the note-leaver. As they stooped down to place another note, the K.E.F. climbed out of their tree and surrounded the note-leaver. They agreed to stop leaving notes, and were let go. The note-leaver returned a short while later with a foam sword, the same weapon as the commander of the K.E.F. was wielding. After a brief face-off, the note-leaver stood down. That night at Simurgh, in a secret meeting, he was designated Target Alpha.
Peaceful period of seventh through thirteenth days
While military patrols still patrolled the Parklands Territory, no new notes appeared. The Parklands Territory was divided into three sections, and each combatant on the Kappan side was tasked with guarding that section.
Minor conflict of day fourteen
On day fourteen, there was another brief, although unarmed, standoff, taking place from 1:00 to 1:02.
Conflict of day fifteen
On day 15, all combatants returned with foam swords. A brief battle was fought and the note-leaver fled.
Aftermath
In the aftermath of the battle, military patrols were stepped up. The note-leaver never returned. After a month, the Kappan Bicycle Calvary's biweekly patrols were tapered off.
