Awards and decorations of Eniarku
Awards and decorations of Eniarku are granted by either the sovereign or government of the Grand Duchy of Eniarku for distinguished service (both civilian and military) and other significant contributions to the state and micronational community. The current honours system was established by the Honours and Titles Act of 2024 and consists of three civil orders, two military decorations, and one dynastic order.
Article 7 of the 2024 constitution provides that the grand duke is the fons honorum and possesses the absolute authority to create, grant, and revoke honours of state. In practice, however, several checks have been added to the system since the grand duchy's reestablishment, and the sovereign commonly requires the advice or consent (or both) of the Council of State to distribute honours, especially to foreign recipients.
Current honours
The current system consists of seven honours, four of which are designated as orders of chivalry by the Orders-in-Council of 6 September 2024. Two of the remaining three (the Meritorious Service Cross and Royal Citation) are considered decorations, while the Order of the Peony occupies a unique position between a typical dynastic order (insofar as the House of Abbott is the current ruling house of Eniarku) and a royal family order (because the honour is awarded by the royal house, not by the state). The only "true" dynastic order is the Royal Alexandrian Order, established by letters patent of Grand Duke Alexander as part of the National Day celebrations on 5 August 2024. The rules determining the size, classes, post-nominal letters, and insignia and order of wear for state and dynastic honours are regulated by a complex combination of laws and decrees.
