Authoritarianism with anarchist characteristics is a Snagovist political concept that combines elements of centralized authoritarian governance together with principles typically associated with anarchism, such as local autonomy, direct participation, direct democracy and grassroots involvement. The term represents a synthesis of two seemingly contradictory ideologies, involving a strong central authority responsible for maintaining order, enforcing laws, and implementing national policies, whilst also incorporating decentralized governance at the local level, promoting significant communal autonomy and direct involvement of citizens in Snagovian democracy.
