On 3 September 1783, the British Empire surrendered to the American rebels, which led to the territory that now makes up Wamong being handed over to them, thus beginning a long period known as the "American Era", where Wamong was under the territorial control of the United States. This lasted from 3 September 1783 to 15 February 2018. For the most part, the territory was owned by the Americans, though gradual autonomy was attained around the last few years of the era, with eventual independence being attained on 5 April 2016, though Wamong still remained as a sort of Satellite State, though the nation was able to whatever it wanted for the most part.
History
Overview
Wamong, for most of its history from 1681 to 2018, was controlled by foreign powers. It was occupied by the British as a colony from 1681 to 1754, had brief De facto independence as an Indian settlement from 1754 to 1788, though it was still officially owned by other nations, and was then occupied by the Americans entirely in 1788, after a group of 10 American settlers invaded and conquered the Indian settlement fully. Thus, Wamong was controlled by Americans for around 222 years before 2010 came around, and the first Wamongians occupied the territory, and eventually this began autonomy to be given, before on 5 April 2016, when Harold Duighan made the State of Wamong, a De facto independent state for Wamong, though it was more so a Satellite State of the United States, as Harold was, at this time, very supportive of America, as this was before he was enlightened by God and his teachings.
Gradual Autonomy
After the colonization of Wamong by the Americans, Wamong was under the total control of the United States. However, by the mid-to-late 2000s, Wamong gradually became more autonomous. On 29 July 2009, Wamong was taken over by Harold Duighan and his family, and Wamong became almost totally independent, however, it remained a territory of the United States, as Harold Duighan was not interested in independence yet. However, by 2015, Harold began seeing the turmoil in America that was caused by the Lucifer and his Demons controlling the minds of people, and chose to make Wamong independent after he decided he wished to fix the problems of the world, and after reading his almanac listing the country's of the world, and also after he saw that other people formed their own countries.
Independence
Wamong became fully independent on 5 April 2016, and was formed as the State of Wamong. It was more or less a Satellite state of the United States, however, it was almost entirely independent at this point, and really only payed lip service to the United States. By 15 February 2018, however, Harold formed the Republic of Wamong, and the nation ceased to have any ties to America, as they were entirely severed.
