Aide-de-Camp is a military position appointed by the Monarch. It is awarded to military officers ranking at Brigadier or equivalent.
History
The role of Aide-de-Camp was established on 17 January 2022 by King Luke of Wellmoore in his role as Commander-in-Chief.
Duties
The duties of an Aide-de-Camp tend to vary depending on the appointment made but all appointments involve ceremonial duties.
Ceremonial Duties
The ceremonial duties of an ADC include providing escort to the monarch during ceremonial state occasions such as state visits, coronations or escorting the procession at State Funerals.
However the Aide-de-Camps always escort further back than Personal Aide-de-Camps.
Eligibility
To be eligible for an appointment as an ADC the individual must meet the following criteria:
- Hold Wellmoorean Citizenship
- Be Commissioned in any Branch of the Armed Forces of Wellmoore
- Have Meritorious Service
- Rank at a Minimum of Brigadier or Equivalent (Exceptions Sometimes Made for Colonels)
Appointment
All Aide-de-Camp appointments are made by the monarch. However people may be nominated for the position.
