Administrative divisions of Kapreburg
The Empire of Kapreburg is a unitary absolute monarchy consisting of 8 colonies, 7 dependencies, and one autonomous city. It's system of administrative divisions was established by the Administrative Divisions Act.
The primary first-level political division of Kapreburg is the colony. The Administrative Divisions Act defines a colony as an area that is easily reachable by Kapresh citizens, and able to be developed. Below that is a dependency, which is a possession of Kapreburg that is usually undeveloped, unreachable, or isolated. Dependencies can be elevated to a colony if it can be shown that it can be worked on by Kapresh citizens.
Other than those two, dominions and cities are also established in the Administrative Divisions Act, but none exist thus far.
Charriotsville is the only autonomous city, given special status because it is the capital.
Before the current system, there were counties, colonies, dependencies, and dominions.
