The June 2023 parliamentary elections were held on 8 June 2023. The NSPEI won the election with 121 seats, but lost a lot of seats in the National Assembly, after the constitutional amendment that lowered the seats from 400 to 240. It is expected that Hristo Tomov would make a government alone.
The election was held, because Prime Minister Alexandru Sorin resigned his cabinet on 27 June 2024, after disruptions in the governing coalition between USI, RB, with the leaving of Nationalists for Istria from the Reformists Bloc.
