The 2017 Census on the People and Citizens of Falcar and the 2017 Census on the Flora and Fauna of Falcar were performed on the date of the 2017 Winter Solstice as a result from the Swan Act 2017

Background

The Swan Act 2017 was enacted on the morning of the census

Section C part II subsect. V reads:

A census of the People and Citizenry within the Nation of Falcar is to be held    at a maximum of every 4 years, starting on the date of the 21st of June 2017, and the Census is to be undertaken by the Royal Inquiry Court on behalf of the Monarch. A census of the Animals and Plantlife of Falcar is to be undertaken at a maximum of every 7 years, starting on a date at the discretion of The Monarch and is to be undertaken by aforesaid Inquiry Court.

As a result of this law, it is a requirement of the Royal Falcarian Inquiry Court to perform a census quadrennially.

The 2021 Census was postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic, with authorisation granted to temporarily amend the act.

People And Citizen Census

The First census to be investigated was the 2017 Census on the People and Citizens of Falcar and defined citizens as active members of Falcarian society in the knowledge of their membership and that When the Census is to be counted, inhabitants of uncontrolled claims are to be excluded.

The census also defined residents as persons residing within Falcar without acknowledging micronational statehood and found:

  • Svoboda (now Maronia) has the lowest population of both Residents and Citizens, although the majority of citizens reside in Kanin and the majority of residents reside in True Inner and Outer Falcar.


  • 42% of residents identify as having spiritual beliefs, the majority identifying as Anglican, compared to 25% of citizens with the majority identifying as Spiritualist;


  • 71% of residents are aged between 18 and 50, compared to 100% of citizens;


  • 85% of citizens are fit for military service if required;


  • The most common occupation is Public Service, with 28%.


  • The majority of the population of citizens are female (57%)


  • the majority (57%) of citizens identify as having Anglo-Celtic ancestry, 14% identify as Southeast Asian ancestry, and the remander (29%) identify as Slavic, Germanic or middle eastern.

Flora & Fauna Census

The Flora & Fauna Census 2017 was the first stage of the census, covering The Kanes & Kanin and was completed on the 21st of June 2017.

Plants and animals declared at risk indicate the eventual loss of the species through disease, migratory changes or other reasons within the nation of Falcar and attempts should be made to stabilise the species;

Plants and animals declared pests are either unwanted or invasive and efforts should be made to remove or exile those species;

Plantlife of The Kanes

The most common genus is Aeonium Succulents with 6 separate species.

The majority of plant species are part of the Royal Falcarian Botanical Society based in The Kanes.
