The 1969 Great Bear War was a conflict occurring in the Land of the Bears lasting from July 1969 - August 1975.

Background

Prior to the conflict His Royal Highness the Prince David, husband of Princess Anne - the King's sister, started to form an Alt-Right Fascist Movement within the Bear Kingdom. The movement opposed the monarchy and aimed to form a republican fascist dictatorship which lead to the beginning of the conflict.

Events

Over the space of a few months David grew his faction up to consist about 20 members. David planned to gather his faction and purge members of the Land of the Bears. In the August of 1969 the fascist faction performed a raid on the main compound of the Kingdom.

The raid resulted in the loss of 800 of the kingdom's bears to a fire, leaving 200 bears total. Because of this there was a battle between sides. Land of the Bear's King Alan I and his sister in law, Princess Rita, fought back and saved many of the bears.

Despite this, King Alan dissolutioned the nation before handing the throne to his father - George I of the Bears.

An exile was declared. Small scale fighting happened for about 6 years until 1975 when King George, King Alan and Rita started a great attempt to retake the nation, where they succeeded fighting off the humans and re-establishing the nation.

Outcomes

The nation was fully re-established. An absolute monarchy was declared. David fled the nation and was given the label of a War Criminal.
