The Zairean zaire is one of official currencies in New Republic of Zaire alongside the United States dollar and the euro. Current rate of Zaires and Euro is 1450Zs-1€. By agreement with Republica de Rhodesia-Yara, only coins may be issued, and those coins must have denomination that is under 1 euro. All coins are issued by government owned company called Zaire Mint. On August 31, 2022, Government of Zaire introduced banknotes in denominations of 1,2,5,10,20,50 and 100 zaires. Next day 200 and 500 were introduced. then 1000,2000,5000,10000 and 20000 2 days later. on September 4, 2022, Government of Zaire pulled out coins in denominations of 25 and 50 para, 1,3 and 5 Zaires and coins in denominations of 100 and 200 Zaires have been added. They cannot be exchanged but can be put on your bank account. Banknotes are produced in Republica de Rhodesia-Yara. On 7 September 2022, Government of Zaire had annonced introuduction of 25, 50 and 100 thousand Zaire banknotes while all coins would be put out of circulation. Introduction of banknotes and demonetisation of coins is set for 10 September. On September 18, 2022, Government of Zaire had pulled out these banknotes out of circulation:1,2,5,10 and 20 Zaires. On 25 October 2022, Government of Zaire reintroduced coins in denominations of 100 and 200 Zaires and has added 10, 25, 50 and 500Zs coins.
