Yusuf bin Nizamuddin al-Hashmi II (Arabic: يوسف بن نظام الدين الهاشمي آل ثاني, romanized: Yusuf al-Hashmi al-Thani; born 21 January 2003), commonly known with the monarch name Yusuf I is the second and current monarch of the Hashemite Kingdom of Raritania. He ascended to the throne on 1 January 2014, when his house was elected as the leading monarch of the nation.
As the King of Raritania, King Yusuf I is the ultimate authority over Raritania's military, which includes the army, navy, air force, and police, and he ensures the well-being of his citizens as the head of state.
King Yusuf I is considered the most powerful living figure in Raritania, serving as the supreme leader and protector of the nation's interests. However, he acknowledges that ultimate power lies with Allah SWT and that Raritania's constitution requires everyone, including the King, to abide by Allah's divine laws.
In his role as the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Raritania, King Yusuf I serves as both the head of state and the head of government. As king, he has the authority to appoint key officials, including the prime minister, lieutenants, colonels, and deputy prime ministers, and he is the top commander of Raritania's military forces.
King Yusuf I's reign is not limited by a fixed term; he serves as the King for life or until such time that the citizens decide to change the monarchy through legitimate means.
