The province of Watertopia in the Empire of Adammia held a by-election on 12 January 2014 to elect the first Councilor for the province following its annexation to the Empire on 29 December 2013. Julie Foster, Duchess of Watertopia, was the only eligible candidate and therefore effectively won by default, which then allowed her to later run for Prime Minister, though she was unsuccessful in doing so.
