Utopian Party
The Utopian Party is the political party in the Republic of Oshad. The Utopian Party sits on the center-right of the political spectrum and is loosley based on the INGSOC Party from George Orwell's 1984 despite holding a different political ideology and only being a moderate party.

History
Origins
The Utopian Party was founded on the 9th of October 2021 by President Luke of Oshad as the single party in the One-Party State of the Republic of Oshad. It was appointed the party of the nation immanently after foundation.
Manifesto
- We demand the union of all Oshad to form a greater Republic of Oshad.
- We demand the equal rights of Oshad Citizens in dealings with other nations.
- We demand land for our people.
- Rights issued by the state may only be enjoyed by citizens of the Republic.
- All citizens of the state will be equal in duties and obligations.
- We demand a healthy middle-class.
- The state is responsible for ensuring the education of citizens.
- We demand that criminals are punished fairly and equally, without regards for race, sex or sexuality.
- We demand a strong central power in government.
- We want to prevent the spread of Communism and Anarchy in all forms.
- We want to create a strong military to defend the nation.
Policies
Economic Policies
The Utopian Party believes that free markets and individual achievement contribute to a strong economy.
Social Policy
The Utopian Party is somewhat traditional and conservative but allows Gay Marriage and freedom of expression.
Foreign Policy
The Utopian Party favours a diverse range of international alliances with the belief that diplomacy with strong nations will help the success of the Republic of Oshad and the other nations allied.
Defense Policy
The Utopian Party leans towards strong militarism, believing a strong military is key to the defence of the nation.
Conscription
The party has passed laws constituting conscription within Oshad for those aged 18 – 24.
Health policies
The Utopian Party believes healthcare should be free and accessible for all citizens, but those who have the money to afford it may pay for private healthcare.
Education policies
The Party believes all citizens should receive free public education from primary to secondary at a high quality.
Justice, crime and security policies
The Party wants strict but fair proceedings in dealings with justice and crime.
Organization
Leadership
The Leader of the Utopian Party is always also the President of Oshad. The Chairman of the Party is always the primary decision maker of the party and they may appoint a Vice Chairman of the Party to act as their deputy.
Succession
In the event of the Party Leader leaving office for any reason the outgoing leader is to name someone to take over from their position.
Membership
Any citizen of Oshad may join the party, but to be part of the party's government they must be appointed an MP or a Cabinet Minister by the President of Oshad.
