His Majesty's Treasury (HM Treasury), also known as the Exchequer, is the department of the Government of Tanaau responsible for developing and executing the government's public finance policy and economic policy.
The treasury is overseen by the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
History
After the office of the prime minister, the treasury is the oldest department in the Tanaauan government. It was established on 17 November 2023.

Banknote Issue
While the issue of banknotes is usually conducted by the Bank of Tanaau, the treasury has the authority to print banknotes if necessary. The treasury also has significance influence over the Bank of Tanaau's issue of banknotes.
