Renaming of article

The article has been renamed to "Governorate of Græcia" from its shortened name of "Græecia" following the protocol laid in the MicroWiki:Manual of Style. Hope you understand and happy editing :).

I really don't. After all, there is only (and I can't stress it enough) one Græcia. Why do we have to be that specific? I know that the term "Governorate of Græcia" might not seem that long, but it still is, and I quote the aforementioned manual, 'rarely used outside of official contexts'. It's always referred to as "Græcia". Can't we bypass this? Please.

Nations are rarely referred by their full official nations. Vishwamitra is never official referred to as by its full name, "State of Vishwamitra, The Abode of Peace" but always by Vishwamitra and sometimes as the "State of Vishwamitra". There are exceptions as laid in the Manual but I don't think it fits Græcia to it. The team and users and working in a way that the standardized manual of style is followed while users edit. There's nothing wrong for the article to be named as "Governorate of Græcia"; you don't even need to search by the full name since the redirect exists. Græcia will redirect you to the article on Governorate of Græcia. We wish for your understanding on this small issue. Oritsu.me (talk) 10:33, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Translations

Is it really necessary to include a translation of every single holiday and administrative region in the national languages? It adds little to nothing for most readers and needlessly bloats the tables. I should not have to set my browser's zoom to 80% (already using a fairly large monitor) to be able to see a list of holidays. 🍸 MattL (talk) 16:05, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'll start with the zoom by saying I use 100% on my 24 inch monitor and it works just fine. And yes, it is in fact necessary, as this is an official piece of information otherwise unwritten. Most readers don't even reach that part of the article, so I wouldn't stress over it if I were you. The bLoAtEd tables are a result of my monitor's resolution, not my problem. In any case, to make you feel a little better and soothen your obsession, the list of holidays in its current form is temporary. I've been dealing with far more serious details over the past few years. A future edit might be satisfactory to yourself, but it's not a high priority. P.S. Stop being obsessed over my articles thanks. --Padzim (talk) 18:55, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Padzim: Just a suggestion to make an article appear better for the 99% of readers who aren't viewing the site on a Times Square LED billboard. You're a grown man seemingly getting heated over edits and advice on a wiki, a collaborative site, no need to label me as the provocateur. 🙂 🍸 MattL (talk) 21:03, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
