Reverts

I am curious, why are my edits constantly being reverted, despite the fact that the edits are correcting incorrect information? Wiki articles should always strive for accuracy, and in this case, the term "Mormon" is incorrect and inaccurate. The following is a quote from a style guide issued by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:

"In the first reference, the full name of the Church is preferred: 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.' While the term 'Mormon Church' has long been publicly applied to the Church as a nickname, it is not an authorized title, and the Church discourages its use. Thus, please avoid using the abbreviation 'LDS' or the nickname 'Mormon' as substitutes for the name of the Church, as in 'Mormon Church,' 'LDS Church,' or 'Church of the Latter-day Saints.' When referring to Church members, the terms 'members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,' 'Latter-day Saints,' 'members of the Church of Jesus Christ' and “members of the restored Church of Jesus Christ' are preferred. We ask that the term 'Mormons' and 'LDS' not be used."

As stated in the above quote, the term "Mormon" is incorrect and discouraged. Liahonia.gov (talk) 04:12, 8 February 2022 (UTC) Here is why I care so deeply about this issue. In the early days of the Church, terms such as "Mormon Church" and "Mormons" were often used by mobs and those who persecuted us as cruel terms, abusive terms, designed to obliterate our progress in restoring the Church of Jesus Christ. In a revelation given to Joseph Smith, the Lord God said,

“For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (Doctrine & Covenants 115:4)”

When we omit His name from His Church, we are inadvertently removing Him as the central focus of our lives. The term "Mormon" - unless being used in reference to the ancient American prophet Mormon, the Book of Mormon, or in historical expressions - is offensive.
