Akia was a self-proclaimed sovereign state that existed from February 2021 to November 2024 in the present day Eichenian municipalities of Hubersburg and Lake Henneside. Not much is known about Akia due to a lack of archived media, but information will be sourced by Zechariah's memory.

Etymology

The origin of the name "Akia" is unknown, but most likely from its president's inability to name things, so he thought of a random jumble of letters and adopted it.

History

Akia was founded as a project to fix the world's problems in 2021, shortly after the inauguration of Joe Biden as the president of the United States. However, it was forgotten around September 2021 for an unknown reason.

Then, on 27 October 2024, Akia got annexed by Eichenland, following the Treaty of Hubersburg Manor.

Politics and government

Akia was ruled under a benevolent dictatorship under Zechariah Huber.

President

The president of Akia had absolute, unrestricted power over the country and wielded all executive, legislative, and judicial power.

Law and order

Not much is known about the law system of Akia; it is theorized that anyone who didn't align with the President's beliefs would be expelled.

Geography and climate

Akia was located in the central Hudson Valley. According to the Köppen climate map of New York, Akia's climate was the hot summer humid continental.

Culture

Akia had a unique culture of American, German, Hispanic, and Italian mixes. However, they were disconnected and would need to meet to discuss things.

Holidays

Akia did not have any holidays of its own (besides President's Day on 5 October) and adopted American holidays.
