The Sprinske National Revolutionary Army, or SNRA, is a paramilitary organisation operating in the Kolniari Sector. It is a Sprinske nationalist organisation mainly based in the Republic of Pekatan, but it also operates in the Sprinske Empire. The SNRA has no official connections to the Sprinske Empire, however it supports Sprinske nationalism and opposes the Pekantish government.
Timeline
The SNRA emerged during the Snow Wars in the Kolniari Sector. It was established on 15 January 2024 when it split away from the Sprinske Imperial Army, which is due to be dissolved on 25 January 2024 in favour of the Geàrdan na Dùthcha. The SNRA was formed by Sprinske nationalists in Pekatan, as the Sprinske Empire had recently been at war with Pekatan, and that same day had given back the Pekatan Strip, which had been occupied since 20 December 2023.
The same day that the SNRA was founded, Pekatan’s casino was announced in the city of New Vegas on the Pekatan Strip, the first one in the Kolniari Sector. It officially opened on 17 January 2024, with the leaders of the Catanese Republic, Sprinske Empire and Republic of Pekatan meeting for a game of cards. They played a few games of blackjack, then switched to a different game made by Master Olivier of Pekatan. At the end of the games, Emperor Aaron I won some stationery, President Matteo Catania won Aaron I’s spear, along with some territory in East Gorbachevgrad, and Master Olivier won a brick belonging to Aaron I which was intended to be used for the Pyramid of Earth in the Kolniari Free State.
Tensions in the Free State
On 19 January 2024, one day after the opening of the Pekatan Casino, Glasgow was hit by a surprise snowfall in the early hours of the morning. In the Kolniari Free State, the leaders of the three countries planned to meet at the Rock Circle, however the Master of Pekatan and President of the Catanese Republic drew communist symbols such as the hammer and sickle in the snow in the Sprinske Empire. Later that day, at around 13:25, the Master of Pekatan started making these symbols right next to the Rock Circle, which Aaron I believed was deeply disrespectful, and they began clashing by the side of the Rock Circle. After the Master of Pekatan removed some of the rocks and threw them away, the SNRA decided to get involved.
Pekatan Casino Attack
After the leader of Pekatan damaged the Rock Circle, two members of the SNRA marched into Pekatan, one of them wielding a stick. They proceeded to attack the casino in New Vegas, throwing the concrete slab used as a table into the metal fence that separates Pekatan and the Catanese Republic, causing it to break into three pieces. They also smashed some of the casino’s equipment, such as some pots used for hiding things under as a gambling game, and the table’s base which was made of a disused computer’s frame. They also destroyed the Pekatan Bunker next to the casino, and removed the walls made from large parts of a tree, throwing them across the Pekatan Strip. The group also stole some of Pekatan’s weaponry, such as the spear which had previously been won during the card games the day before, along with the brick. Pekatan’s junk pile was thrown around, messing up the city of New Vegas. Then, just before they left, the SNRA took a table frame which Pekatan had been using as part of their bunker, and hung it from the fence by the table’s leg. They then left the country, but returned later on after visiting the Free State, they threw some more junk from the pile around, and then left Pekatan again.
Ideology
The SNRA is a Sprinske nationalist organisation. Despite being based in Pekatan, the SNRA is very pro-Sprinska, however it does support Pekatan’s right to independence. The SNRA is against Pekatan’s current government however, and the anarchist ideology that the nation has. The SNRA's views on Séitnam are unclear and are prone to change, based on current relations with the government of Séitnam and Pekatan. As a result, the SNRA sometimes support Séitnam’s sovereignty, however at other times, if Pekantish relations are not good, the group supports Séitnam becoming a puppet state of Sprinska. Despite the group’s support for the Sprinske Empire, the nation has not commented on the group and has no official connection to it.
