Sovereign Democratic Kingdom of Terramor

The Sovereign Democratic Kingdom of Terramor, more commonly known as SDKT or Terramor, is a micronation in North-Eastern Africa. SDKT is comprised of 2,060 km² (795 sq mi) area. It is situated at the border between Egypt and Sudan. It is often used interchangeably with Bir Tawil which is its capital city. The Kingdom's northern border runs along the 22nd Parallel or 22° north circle of latitude. East-to-west, the area is between 46 kilometers (29 mi) long in the south, and 95 kilometers (59 mi) long in the north, and between 26 kilometers (16 mi) and 31 kilometers (19 mi) wide north-to-south, and 2,060 km2 (800 sq mi) in size. The SDKT is a newly formed government being administered by the African Diasporic People. This is a resurgence for them in North-Eastern Africa as they are the Moorish descendants of Kush and Nubia. That makes this not only a claim made by Terra Nullias but also the first notorious claim on Bir Tawil justified by birthright and Ancestral Claim.

While many claims have been made on Bir Tawil this is the only claim to have made such significant strides towards micro international, international, African Union, and United Nations recognition. The Sovereign Democratic Kingdom of Terramor was founded at Bir Tawil by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maurice D. Ravennah on 11/03/2020 in the wake of the widespread social, economic, political, civil, and racial unrest within the United States of America. The Kingdom was founded to create in the world sovereign protections and international recognition to African Diasporic Peoples who have been persecuted within the United States of America for over 244 years. SDKT is a Constitutionally Democratic Hereditary Monarchy. Its government system is a hybridisation of the British monarchy and the U.S. Representative Democracy. A major defining difference in its governance from these two examples is that of the three nations SDKT is the most direct democracy with all legislative votes being pushed directly to the citizenry through a referendum. The Kingdom also does not have a multi-party system. Each citizen is free to vote their conscience and convictions in alignment with their highest aspirations. The nation is open to and actively seeking any and all ties to other peace-loving micronations, and nations around the world. The SDKT has a very open and collaborative approach to foreign policy as it seeks to sew seeds of peace and productivity around the world.

Etymology

The Sovereign Democratic Kingdom of Terramor is the formal name of the Kingdom. Most of it is derived simply from technical definers of its governance. Terramor; however, was chosen as the name of the Kingdom by the Royal House of Ravennah and Sovereign Protectors of the Kingdom because of its historical and ancestral significance. The name Terramor is derived from the Latin roots (Terra meaning Land or territory) and (Mor being a short spelling of the word Moor as these are the Moorish people).

History

The Nubian people are one of the earliest known civilisations originating around 2500 BC. Nubia (/ˈnjuːbiə, ˈnuː-/) is located between the first cataract of the Nile (just south of Aswan in southern Egypt) and the confluence of the Blue and White Niles. This is (south of Khartoum in central Sudan), or more strictly, Al Dabbah. It was the seat of one of the Kerma cultures, one of the earliest civilisations of ancient Africa, which lasted from around 2500 BC until its conquest by the New Kingdom of Egypt under Pharaoh Thutmose I around 1500 BC. Nubia now the Nubian or Sahara desert was home to several empires, most prominently the kingdom of Kush. Kush conquered Egypt in the eighth century BC during the reign of Piye and ruled the country as its 25th Dynasty. A century later Piye was replaced by native Egyptians during the 26th Dynasty). The Ethiopia's Kingdom of Aksum invaded Kush. This along with the rise of three Christian kingdoms: Nobatia, Makuria, and Alodia marked the downfall of Kush. These kingdoms lasted about a millennium. Once they fell it began the separation of Nubia into its northern and southern halves. The northern half was conquered by the Ottomans and the southern half by the Sennar sultanate, in the sixteenth century. This resulted in the rapid Islamisation and partial Arabisation of the Nubian people. This marks the entry of the Moors on the world-historical scene. The term Moor has no specific ethnological significance. It has been used to refer to Arab peoples, Muslims, and Black north African soldiers in private armies led and financed by Arabs. These skilled black fighters became widely sought after and thus became synonymous with the term Moor. The Moors are responsible for spreading African cultures around the globe long before Christopher Columbus reached the West Indies. Nubia was reunited with the Khedivate of Egypt in the nineteenth century. Today, the region of Nubia is split between Egypt and Sudan.

The area was later know as Bir Tawil. (/bɪr ˈtɑːwɪl/ (listen); Egyptian Arabic: بير طويل‎, romanized: Bīr Ṭawīl, lit. 'tall water well', [biːɾ tˤɑˈwiːl]). In 1899, when the United Kingdom held hegemony in the area, the Anglo-Egyptian Condominium Agreement for Sudan set the border between the territories at the 22nd parallel. However, in 1902 the UK drew a separate "administrative boundary", under which a triangle of land north of the parallel was placed under Sudanese administration, because its inhabitants were closer to Khartoum than Cairo, both geographically and culturally. The area thus became the responsibility of the British Governor in Khartoum. Egypt claims the original border from 1899, the 22° north circle of latitude, which would place the Hala'ib Triangle within Egypt and the Bir Tawil area within Sudan. Sudan, however, claims the administrative border of 1902, which would put Hala'ib within Sudan, and Bir Tawil within Egypt. As a result, both states claim the Hala'ib Triangle and neither claims the much less valuable Bir Tawil area, which is only a tenth the size and is landlocked. There was no basis in international law for Sudan or Egypt to claim both territories. This established the Terra Nullius status of Bir Tawil. November 3, 2020, American businessman, social scientist, and philanthropist Maurice D. Ravennah along with a coalition of friends and colleagues began to organise a government for the protection of African Diasporic Peoples within the United States and abroad. Ravennah declared his personal sovereignty, staked claim via Terra Nullias, Ancestry, and birthright to the lands at Bir Tawil, and established the government of the SDKT. The new nation has already made huge strides towards international recognition since the ratification of their constitution, their swiftly growing popularity among People of Colour in the United States, and the beginning of the dialogue with other nations and NGOs.

Politics and government

The government of the Sovereign Democratic Kingdom of Terramor at Bir Tawil is a Constitutionally Democratic Hereditary Monarchy. The constitution is very similar to that of the United States creating a separation of powers, and a bicameral system.

A major difference is that we do not employ a two-party system. The royal family and the initial Chamber of Chancellors felt the two-party system of representative democracies does not allow for the purity of national sentiment in the voting process. The Sovereign is the Head of State. The Reigning Sovereign is His Royal Majesty Crown Prince Maurice D. Ravennah. The Sovereign is constitutionally bound to act in the best interest of the Kingdom. A majority of the legislature may override the actions of a Sovereign and/or request the abdication of the throne in the event the sovereign is not upholding their constitutional obligation and solemn duty. The government is supported by its own industry which includes various technology-based goods and services, as well as virtual real estate, Offshore Banking Jurisdiction, International Patents, International Copywrites, International Trademarks, secure web hosting, and telecommunications to name a few. National Industry supports the government along with corporate taxes. The government does not impose an income tax on the citizens as H.R.M does not believe hours of a person’s life should be taxed. They then begin the industry by investing family funds into new businesses that would form the basis of our national industry. The companies and industries formed by the royal family provide most of the funding needed to run our streamlined technologically advanced government. They decided to take Estonia’s lead. Estonia spearheaded an impressive system of e-citizenship backed by a robust suite of online tools allowing seamless interface and dealings with the Estonian Government from anywhere in the world. This is the charge the SDKT picked up for Terramor. The legislature even has an encrypted way to meet and vote remotely and electronically. Another key difference is that SDKT democracy is much more of a pure or direct democratic system. The legislature does not represent the people in voting legislation into law. The legislature crafts and proposes legislation to the people who vote on it directly through a referendum. This ensures the people are guided and supported by the government but always maintain their authority. This is a Constitution is written for the future.

Law and order

SDKT is a nation of dispersed and diasporic peoples. This means at present citizens are governed by the laws of the nations they hold dual citizenship with as SDKT seeks U.N. and international recognition. Citizens within the Territory of the SDKT are governed under rule of law established by the Legislature.

Foreign relations

SDKT has no formal ties to other micronations to date but is eager to enter into international cooperation. The government is organising and launching a Commonwealth of Allied Nations. "CAN" is an organisation of allied nations and micronations that are aligned in their aims toward international recognition. As it is a commonwealth when one benefits all benefit. Thus when one micronation becomes recognised internationally they will all get to share in the international benefits of that recognition. This may be the only organisation of micronations that can generate revenue for the member nations as a means to create channels of international trade and commerce. Military

SDKT is a peace-loving nation that knows the necessity of a common defense within the current world climate. As such SDKT is developing its military thoughtfully and in secret. Various members of the Royal House of Ravennah are veterans of US military service. The family served valiantly in the Army, Navy, and Marines as well as other government posts.

Geography and climate

SDKT is 2,060 km² (795 sq mi) in size. The length of its northern and southern borders are 95 kilometers (59 mi) and 46 kilometers (29 mi) respectively; the length of its eastern and western borders are 26 kilometers (16 mi) and 49 kilometers (30 mi) respectively. In the north of the area is the mountain Jabal Tawil (جبل طويل), with a height of 459 meters (1,506 ft). In the east is Jebel Hagar ez Zarqa, with a height of 662 meters (2,172 ft). In the south is the Wadi Tawil (وادي طويل), also called Khawr Abū Bard.

SDKT's climate is, according to the Köppen climate classification, a very hot desert climate. During the summer months, approximately three-quarters of the year, temperatures can exceed 40 °C (104 °F), while its hottest three months (June–August) can see it as high as 45 °C (113 °F). During the brief winters, however (December and January being its mildest months), SDKT can experience milder temperatures with 26 °C (79 °F) as its usual temperature peak. Because the territory is far from the ocean (being at least 200 km (120 mi) away from the Red Sea), the diurnal temperature range throughout the region is large, varying from 18 to 20 °C (32 to 36 °F), year-round.[5]

SDKT necessarily imports most goods outside of basic building materials as the nation derives most of its' building materials from proprietary processes and natural resources found within the Kingdom.

SDKT Industry is primarily service-based as this is a technologically advanced and tech-based nation. The national industry includes Financial Services, Business Consulting, and Media Production.

SDKT has strategic partnerships with various international corporations and NGO's. Among them are Phoenix International Inc., Griffin Global Incorporated, Resurgent Real Estate Inc., Exchequer International Ltd. LOADU$, Forever Dope Management LLC., Hey Mikey ATL, etc.

Culture and media

SDKT is made up of peoples from all over the world, we have thus inherited an eclectic group of cultures and customs. In this way, SDKT is very similar to the United States. A key difference is that the US is often compared to a cultural melting pot in that many cultures come together in partial assimilation to create one distinct culture. SDKT is rather like a mosaic in which it is comprised of many cultures that are all equally celebrated and valued for their contribution to the national identity. As a pan faith nation, various religious holidays are celebrated as in the rest of the world. Most of these are from the Big 3 major world religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity). Education is predominately in external host nations; however, SDKT is in communication with international organisations of higher learning to develop an online university that would be accredited in the US and abroad further strengthening the nation. The official language of SDKT is English while Arabic, Swahili, French, and Spanish are also prevalent. SDKT champions the arts, free press, and easy access to Television Broadcasting.
