Snowden is a city in the Province of Wellington, located in the Commonwealth of Faltree. It was formerly a city in Huntsburg, a county of the now defunct State of Faltree. It was first established 19 August 2021 by Connor Shaw, who was the de-facto leader of the county and mayor of the city. Snowden was re-established on 29 July 2023 following the foundation of the Commonwealth of Faltree.
Etymology
Snowden is named after American whistleblower Edward Snowden. The name was chosen to show solidarity with Edward Snowden and because his championing of freedom of information and opposition to the United States Government's surveillance of the public was seen as significant and aligned with the ideals of the people of Huntsburg.
Geography and climate
Snowden is notable for being on average the coldest city in Faltree with an average low of 10 degrees Fahrenheit in January. The city is also the highest in elevation in the entire Commonwealth, being 2,986 feet above sea level.
